Formula VEE made by LAPTER-BRENNER
Formula Vee made by LAPTER-BRENNER, built in Israel Tel Aviv and based on British GAC design and guide lines to match the British Formula Vee Standards. The chassis was redesigned using SOLIDWORKS and CATIA V5, improvements to the chassis weight / torsional stiffness was made as part of my graduation project for my B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering with ANSYS 7.1, improving by 213 % the torsional stiffness and lowering the chassis weight by 10%. Building the car itself stated at Jan 2005, with members of the team: Aric Lapter, Dani Brenner, Ilan Sherman, Gal Shner, Alex Horvitz, Emil Winbrand and Rotem Givony.
The construction steps definition and status:
STEP A: Chassis assembled with engine suspension and gear box - DONE. (15 Jan 2005 - 2 April 2005) STEP B: Full Systems installations, testing - DONE. (3 April 2005 - 21 March 2006) STEP C: Engine and suspensions improvements, more testing - NOT STARTED YET.
